  1. Sorry I didn’t provide a better description of Slate’s textcast. Essentially what they’ve done is taken the content of Today’s Papers and plugged into the description section of the ID3 Tags of the file. So, when you pull up the “file” on your iPod, you can read it, rather than listen to it.

Personally, I think it’s a waste of time but thought it was an interesting use of the technology.

  2. Hi Shel & Neville,

    Three little points to make:

First of all in your discussion of Technorati/Edelman you mentioned the chance that Technorati would be bought by Edelman and than become a proprietary Edelman tool. If that were the case wouldn’t that eliminate the need from bloggers to include those nice Technorati tags in blog posts and render the Technorati engine useless?

@ Neville: The payment card you use for those micropayments in the Netherlands (called “chipknip” or “chip wallet” freely translated) in my opinion is quite succesful. At my work (ok, a financial institution) even all payments are done via this method.

@ Neville: A very minor point: to Koln, Germany you travel via “ICE” I think and not via TGV (Train Grande Vitesse). TGV’s travel to Belgium and France.

Still enjoying your show very much and promoting it wherever I can!

    Best regards,
    Marcel
