So, until Thursday October 13…
With all this talk of the manliness of Aussies and Poms on FIR 75, let me ask this: Why not throw the Kiwis into the mix?
On a Febraruy 2002 visit to the <a href=“http://www.tepapa.govt.nz/TePapa/English/?Skipped”> title=“Te Papa Museum in New Zealand”> Te Papa Museum, the national museum of New Zealand, in Wellington, I read that Kiwis actually consume more <a href=“http://www.vegemite.com.au/” title=“vegemite website”> vegemite, per capita, than Aussies? Does this make the New Zealanders the manliest of all, perhaps?
Although I lived in Australia for two years, I have tried vegemite only once, and it was on that same visit to New Zealand. The verdict? Not as revolting as I expected, but not good enough to consume a second time.
Posted by Bryan Person on 10/11 at 04:00 AMFolllowing-up on Lee’s report and Shel’s comments regarding the importance of a traditional web presence to go along with your blog…
My blog, like Shel’s is closely integrated with my traditional site but I still have issues with crossover between blog readers and what I will loosely call business prospects. I was reminded of this just a few days ago.
During the course of an e-mail exchange with one of my blog readers I discussed some of the blog design and MovableType development I do. Their response, ‘Wow I didn’t know you did that, we’ll need to talk since we have a few corporate clients that have some blog projects coming up.” I try hard not to make my blog posts too self-promotional, but I am tempted to write a post saying “This is what I do…”
I am currently doing some re-design work on my entire site that will revamp much of this integration and hopefully provide blog readers and business prospects with a good blend of both content areas.
