  1. Gents,

Yes, the plosives were quite bad on that report, most likely due to the fact that I recently lost the foam cover for my headset mic.  No worries, I’m finally making a wee bit of a shopping trip today for audio equipment so next week’s report should be a bit clearer.

Shel, yes, I do remember dmoz.org.  For a very brief time I had editor status for a dmoz category that I had great ideas about assisting, but then never found the time to get involved.  I never really followed it after that so it was interesting to hear your take on it.

Thanks again for a great show.

    Regards,
    Dan

  2. I similarly enjoyed the show, and also noted that my own comments, via the 206 comment line, were a bit low. I will try to send in an .mp3 file next time, to see how that compares in quality.

Thank you for the thoughts in podcasting in education.  I really do think universities should take advantage of the medium.

  3. Hi Shel and Neville,

As you have shared already on yesterday’s show, the sound quality of Neville’s input was quite bad now and then. Did I miss something important?

I better check the show notes.

Always a pleasure to hear you two on my daily commute! You even lit a blogging flame in me, really building up idea’s for my own weblog, to be launched within a few months.

    Best regards,

    Marcel de Ruiter

  4. Regarding the design of e-book web sites…I couldn’t agree more.  Why are they all so bad?

What is truly sad is that the design must work for sales otherwise why would they keep designing them like that?
