  1. Wow Shel, you sound absolutely exhausted/knackered in this episode - though it’s still hefty and good. I’m really amazed that you and Neville never miss a single episode, no matter where you are geographically or what work commitments you have - at least as long as I’ve been subscribed. I hope you manage to catch up on some sleep this weekend! :)

  2. I think it’s great what you guys are doing with crayon, and wish you the best—but I’m getting tired of hearing about it. Even though you don’t spend *that* much time talking about it on FIR, I’m *also* hearing CC talk about it and hearing Joseph talk about it, and the collective effect is definitely one of saturation. (And one of CC’s listeners made the very good point that all you experienced podcasters forgot to introduce yourselves on your announcement Skype call.)

That said, I’m glad y’all still have the ethics cast on the schedule, as it sounds much needed, and it’s not as if I think the quality of FIR has fallen off or anything.

Congratulations on getting a sponsor. I think GoToMeeting is handling this intelligently by letting podcasters give their own pitches for it, and I hope it pays off for them. They at least seem to be pretty clear that we’re not in radio anymore, Toto.

  3. PS I forgot to say that the need to focus on keywords and consider search engines and people who are skimming a huge stream of feeds when we title our blog posts and online articles is one of the few areas where search engines decrease quality of life. One of the things I appreciated when I lived in Britain was the way that even the tabloids had clever headlines that showed an appreciation of language.
