  1. LOL! I totally cracked up this morning on the subway when I heard that comment about me becoming the third teammember of FIR, especially because lately I had been thinking the same exact thing. It got a bit ridiculous there - what like, 4 or 5 episodes in a row with me yapping on? :) I totally agree it’s been overkill. So Shel and Neville I’m going to leave you guys alone for a little bit, but I’ll still be listening. :) Keep up the great stuff!

    I thought you might enjoy this excerpt from a story about Leo Laporte and his TWIT podcast:


    TWiT is 120 minutes. Over 20,000 listeners in a poll said they wanted the longer format. TWiT’s audience wants it to be more technical, not less technical. Treat your audience right—they’re intelligence. Super-serve the niche. That’s critical in narrowcast media. If you’re doing a program on golf, you don’t have to appeal to people who don’t like golf. Do a program for people who love golf… Don’t dumb it down.
