Posted by David Jones on 04/03 at 01:03 PMThank you for higlighting Kirsten Thien’s music at the end of the show. The musical artists I work with always get excited when they know their reach is extended in an unconventional manner via podcasts.
Posted by Rob S on 04/04 at 03:12 AMFirst, on the subject of authority: conceivably Robert Scoble or anyone else could easily enough create categories or tags for “my opinion” and “heard it from the horse’s mouth”. But an official announcement is still, one presumes, going to come through more traditional official channels. Even if the CEO blogs and puts the announcement on his or her blog, one can expect press releases or indeed press conferences.
Regarding the survey, my only problem was in the choice of professions at the end. I write for a living, which one would think might qualify me as a communicator, but I’m not in PR and I’m not a journalist or member of the media, so my choices were to take my nearest match (journalist) or to check “Other, non communicator.” Why not just “Other”?
