  1. Hey guys, I listen to your show probably about once a month and I just thought I’d give you some feedback about length.

    I think there are some gems in what you’re saying but it’s just way too long for the ground that you cover in the typical episode. Without wanting to belittle your efforts has anyone suggested it might be better edited down?

    I’m not sure who your target audience is (other social media consultants? potential clients? - I’m more the latter) but for the typical businessperson listening to your podcast it just takes too large a slice out of the day. Whereas with a long document you can skip ahead it’s harder with a podcast to retain the thread (or in some cases even hit the controls - for instance in the car because that’s the time a lot of people fit podcasts into their busy schedule).

    On this Burston Marsteller story alone you ran to 60 minutes. If you listened to that segment again do you feel that there were really 60 minutes of key points there?

    Anyway, just my view. But maybe next time you run a listener survey you could ask the question about how people feel about episode length - I think you might find the answer interesting.
