  1. Shel & Neville,  Techie question about the podcast post-production - did you do anything like run a command to strip out the spaces or pauses in conversation?  Or does BlogTalk Radio?

I wasn’t on the call, but in listening to the recording there were several times when the time between speakers seemed unnaturally short. In the normal flow of a conversation there seemed like there should have been more of a gap there.  It just made me wonder if someone had applied one of the effects to strip out gaps in order to reduce the overall time.

Note that this didn’t impact my enjoyment of listening to the conversation (only about half-way through right now), but it was more of a geeky podcaster curiousity. :-)

    Thanks for the great shows,
    Dan

  2. Hey, Dan. Nope, we didn’t use anything like that, and I’m not aware that BlogTalk Radio does, since it’s an immediate recording of the live conversation. I did cut some of the longer pauses, but probably only three or four, during post-production of the file on the FIR server.
