This edition features an interview with Paolo Tosolini, Director, Digital and Emerging Media at Run Studios. In the interview Paolo mentions a great resource for anyone who wants to get the best video possible out of a smartphone. Here’s a link to an extremely useful Mobile Video Shopping List from the equally useful website, StoryGuide.net. I recently had the chance to interview StoryGuide founder Drew Keller for TV@Work for an upcoming episode of the show.

TV@Work #3 - 01/13/14 - A Killer App

TV@WorkWelcome to episode #3 of TV@Work. If you like the show, please share it with your friends by sending them to this link to the show blog.

This edition features an interview with Erik Cullins, Director of Customer Success at ProofHQ. Anyone who works in corporate communications experiences the nightmare of trying to get meaningful feedback from internal stakeholders on written information that has to get out to employees or other audiences. It can be even more irksome and daunting to manage reviews and approvals for video content. I started using ProofHQ a couple of years ago when I took on a demanding project that involved producing one internal video per week, and it pretty much saved my skin.

ProofHQ is something that anyone who produces video in the workplace should know about, but my conversation with Erik goes beyond that, touching on how technology is changing the way we work, and what might be in store for the future.

Next up – in Episode 4 I talk with enterprise video pioneer Paolo Tosolini about the power of digital media, who generously shares what he’s learned about how to implement video in the workplace.

TV@Work #2 - 11/18/13 - Video is the New Document

TV@WorkWelcome to the episode #2 of TV@Work. If you like the show, please share it with your friends.

In this edition I talk with Vern Hanzlik, General Manager and EVP at Qumu, a NASDAQ-traded company that provides the tools businesses need to create, manage, secure, distribute and measure the success of their videos. I loved talking with Vern. He’s a tech industry warhorse with lots of interesting things to say about video in “the enterprise.”  I got a big kick out of the technology industry vernacular, which doesn’t get in the way of Vern’s clear, straight talk about the power of video to engage people.

I’d love to hear from you. Ask me a question. Let me know who you’d like me to interview. Suggest topics for future shows. Share your comments through the usual FIR comment channels (further down in this post), or drop me a line at ron@ronshewchuk.com.

TV@Work #1 - 10/8/13 - PayPal in 90 Seconds

TV@WorkWelcome to the premiere edition of TV@Work, an audio show about using video to engage employees. If you like the show, please share it with your friends and colleagues.

My inaugural interview is with Mark Kraynak, PayPal’s Manager of Global Communications, about the brilliant video news roundup he created, PayPal in 90 Seconds. I learned out about PayPal in 90 Seconds because I was on the judging panel forMcMurry/TMG’s Strategic Video Awards, and the show was a winner in 2012. There’s still time to enter your video in this year’s SVAs—and even if you don’t plan to enter, there are lots of great videos showcased on the site.

You can learn more about Mark on his LinkedIn profile. Connect with him on Twitter at @HuskerHomerMark.

How do you like the show?

I’ve enjoyed putting together the first edition of TV@Work—what did you think? I’d love to hear your feedback.
