FIR Interview - Forrester Research Analysts Rob Koplowitz and G. Oliver Young - 09/21/07

Forrester Research has issued two important studies for those interested in implementing Web 2.0 strategies for internal communication and knowledge purposes. G. Oliver Young, along with Eric G. Brown and April Lawson, authored ‘Passionage Employees: The Gateway to Enterprise Web 2.0 Sales,” which notes that employees are beginning to use Web 2.0 tools in their day-to-day lives, often without the sanction of the company. Young co-authored “Web 2.0 Social Computing Dresses Up for Business” with Rob Koplowitz, suggesting that social computing has a clear place in the enterprise. In this interview, Koplowitz and Young talk about the studies and the issues associated with implementing social media on intranets.

  1. Guys, there might be a problem. I’ve run Juice (v.2.2) 5 times since you posted the interview. Every time (the last being moments ago) Juice shows the item, then says it’s “downloading” for a few seconds, and then finishes without actually downloading any of the file. Over a dozen other files from other feeds downloaded just fine while this one won’t. When it tries to download it, Juice finishes all other files, then a few seconds, then Juice ends. And, if I close Juice & then reopen it, the file is not shown in the Downloads tab. And there are other Libsyn feeds that downloaded just fine. It Does download fine from the ‘Download the 21 minute conversation here’ link in the post.
    Curious behavior, Captain…
    Love & Peace, Clarence
