Max KalehoffMax Kalehoff is vice president of marketing for Nielsen BuzzMetrics, the global measurement standard for consumer-generated media. He leads marketing and communications, and supports strategic partner and product development.

An evangelist for word-of-mouth and interactive marketing, Max helps companies understand and leverage the intersection of these important and evolving strategies. Max is a frequent speaker on marketing and media to educational, industry and government groups – such as Columbia University, the Word-of-Mouth Marketing Association (WOMMA), the Advertising Research Foundation (ARF), the Marketing Sciences Institute, The Conference Board and the Centers For Disease Control (CDC). He also is a monthly columnist for MediaPost’s SearchInsider, focusing largely on the intersection of Internet search and social media.

Before his current role, Max ran his own marketing and strategy consultancy, advising firms including BuzzMetrics, Hitwise and the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB). Max previously led marketing, communications and industry ratings analysis for comScore, an online media research firm. Max joined comScore from Jupiter Media Metrix, when comScore acquired the pioneering Media Metrix research business. Before that he started his career at Y&R/Burson-Marsteller.

Max graduated from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School. He lives in Brooklyn, New York with his wife Laura and two cats.
