FIR on Higher Education #20 – Professor David Burkus on the Myths of Creativity

How can we be more creative in our work? Whether you are a communicator wanting to come up with new ways to share thought leadership, a professor considering innovative ways to teach new concepts to students or a consultant / entrepreneur looking for new business opportunities, many of us are on the hunt for new ideas. On episode 20 of FIR on Higher Education, I discuss this topic with Oral Roberts University professor David Burkus, author of the Myths of Creativity.

David is one of the few academics I have come across who is leveraging the power of podcasting. He hosts an excellent podcast called Leader Lab (LDRLB) and shares his podcasting journey during the interview.

In our reports section, I outline why individuals working on projects should consider using Elance, while Harry Hawk and I share thoughts about LinkedIn’s new educational offerings (learn more in this Wall Street Journal article).

This episode is sponsored in part by Experiential Communications’ forthcoming Online Media Training Program for Academics.
